Our Smithtown area training station is located at 103 Fort Salonga Road, providing convenient access for healthcare professionals, students, and first responders throughout Suffolk County’s North Shore. The Northport VA Medical Center anchors the surrounding healthcare corridor, while Northwell Health Physician Partners and CityMD are within walking distance. Many clinical professionals already travel through this corridor for work, making our Fort Salonga Road station a convenient location to complete the required hands-on skills session for AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPR First Aid certification.
If you are traveling from Manhattan, Queens, or western Long Island, take the Long Island Expressway East or the Northern State Parkway East. Exit onto Deer Park Road, also called NY-231 North, toward Northport. Deer Park Road will lead you north directly toward NY-25A East, which is Fort Salonga Road. Follow Fort Salonga Road east into Northport, and the building at 103 Fort Salonga Road will be on your left.
If you are coming from the eastern forks or central Suffolk County, take the Long Island Expressway West and exit at Exit 53 for the Sagtikos Parkway North toward Sunken Meadow State Park. Continue as it transitions into the Sunken Meadow State Parkway North and take Exit SM4W for NY-25A West, which is Fort Salonga Road, toward Northport. Follow Fort Salonga Road west for a few miles, and the location will be on your right just past Hastings Drive.
If you are traveling from Connecticut, take the Bridgeport and Port Jefferson Ferry across the Long Island Sound to Port Jefferson. Upon driving off the ferry, head south to pick up NY-25A West and follow it through Stony Brook and St. James directly into Fort Salonga and Northport. The destination will be on your right.
If you are commuting from the South Shore, take the Southern State Parkway east or west to Exit 41A for the Sagtikos Parkway North. Continue north as it transitions into the Sunken Meadow State Parkway North and take Exit SM4W for NY-25A West toward Northport. Follow Fort Salonga Road west until you reach the location on your right.

Yes. Every certification issued at our Fort Salonga Road training station is AHA-approved and meets the certification requirements recognized by the VA and healthcare employers throughout New York State. Your AHA certification remains valid for two years from the date of issue.
Yes. As long as you have completed the online HeartCode portions for all three courses beforehand, you can complete all three skills sessions on the same day at our Fort Salonga Road station. The station is open every day from 7 am to 7 pm, giving you enough time to handle all three certifications in a single visit.
