This page answers the most common questions about our American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPR certification courses in New York.
We offer several AHA-certified courses, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). These courses are available for both first-time certification and renewal.
BLS focuses on CPR, AED use, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants.
ACLS is intended for healthcare providers who manage cardiac arrest, stroke, respiratory emergencies, and other cardiovascular events.
PALS concentrates on emergency care for infants and children and is commonly required in pediatric healthcare settings.

Most nursing programs require BLS for Healthcare Providers. If you’re already working in a hospital or critical care setting, your employer may also require ACLS or PALS.
When in doubt, check your school or employer requirements before registering.
