BLS focuses on CPR, AED use, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants.
ACLS is intended for healthcare providers who manage cardiac arrest, stroke, respiratory emergencies, and other cardiovascular events.
PALS concentrates on emergency care for infants and children and is commonly required in pediatric healthcare settings.
Absolutely. Many of our students are teachers, childcare providers, fitness trainers, coaches, parents, and community members who simply want to be prepared for emergencies.
You do not need a medical background to enroll in a CPR or BLS course.
Most nursing programs require BLS for Healthcare Providers. If you’re already working in a hospital or critical care setting, your employer may also require ACLS or PALS.
When in doubt, check your school or employer requirements before registering.
If your AHA certification is still valid, you can usually take a renewal course.
If it has expired, most students need to complete the initial certification course again.
Yes. All courses follow current American Heart Association guidelines, and successful students receive an official AHA certification eCard.
AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are valid for two years from the completion date.
Yes. AHA certifications are widely accepted by hospitals, clinics, urgent care centers, nursing homes, medical offices, schools, and healthcare employers throughout New York.
After successfully completing both the online coursework and the in-person skills assessment, your AHA eCard is issued the same day.
Yes. The AHA eCard is the official certification credential and is accepted by employers and licensing organizations the same way a printed card is.

You complete the educational portion online at your own pace, then attend a brief hands-on skills session at one of our New York locations.
Most students finish the online training in 2–3 hours, depending on the course and their prior experience.
During the in-person appointment, you’ll demonstrate CPR, AED, and other required skills using a CPR Verification Station that provides real-time feedback.
Yes. You must schedule your class before attending to reserve your preferred location, date, and time.
Students receive unlimited attempts to complete the skills assessment successfully.
